Wake Electric held its 2025 Annual Meeting of Members on Friday, March 28, 2025 at the Louisburg College Auditorium. Members were able to enjoy live music powered by the Ford F-150 Lightning and watch Wake Electric’s linemen perform pole-top rescue demonstrations. Members came together to hear business updates and a presentation from Kirk Metcalf, VP of Member Services and HR and then had the chance to ask senior management questions about the co-op.
Members then voted to re-elect board members Allen Nelson – District 1, William Joe Hilburn – District 4, Robert Joe Eddins – District 8 again to serve three-year terms. Members in attendance were entered into a drawing for $5,000 in cash prizes. The prizes are first-place grand prize of $1,000, second-place prizes of $500 each, third-place prizes of $250 and 22 fourth-place prizes of $100 each, see list below.
