Electric Vehicle Safety Training with Rolesville Fire Department

Safety is our priority and we show our commitment to keeping our employees and community safe through regular training and education. On Sept. 24, the Rolesville Fire Department trained on how to safely handle an electric vehicle (EV) if one was involved in an accident. Rodney Privette, a Wake Electric Board Member and the Fire Chief at Rolesville Fire Department, led his firefighters in the EV safety training and had a Wake Electric Tesla on site for hands-on learning.
The Energy Information Administration projects for EVs (including hybrid EVs) to account for 7.5 percent of new light vehicle sales by 2025. These trainings help our emergency response professionals in their efforts to serve and protect our communities. Thank you to Rodney and the Rolesville Fire Department!
