Wake Electric is now accepting applications for third quarter 2026 WECare Foundation Non-Profit grants, continuing the cooperative’s commitment to supporting local organizations and strengthening the communities it serves.

Through the WECare Foundation, Wake Electric provides quarterly funding opportunities for nonprofit organizations working to improve the quality of life for residents across the cooperative’s service area. Grants support a wide variety of community-focused initiatives, including youth programs, food assistance, education, health and wellness efforts and other essential services.

Nonprofit organizations interested in applying for third quarter funding must submit their applications by 5 p.m. on June 12, 2026. Applications received after the deadline will automatically be considered during the fourth quarter grant cycle.

The WECare Foundation is funded through Wake Electric’s ongoing commitment to community support and serves as one of the many ways the cooperative invests in the communities where its members and employees live and work. These grants are funded through the voluntary generosity of cooperative members who round up their electric bills to the nearest whole dollar.
