As anticipated in a recent post, we have completed the transition back to processing check payments in our Wake Forest office. We are now printing the new address on the back of your bill stub so the new Wake Forest mailing address will appear in the window of the return envelope.

The new address is: Post Office Box 1229, Wake Forest, NC 27588

Nearly 60 percent of the payments we receive each month are electronic payments. Many members use their online banking software to make payments to us electronically. That said, some banks require a backup mailing address. If your bank requires this, please remember to update our mailing address.

As an alternative, many members use the online payment features in Wake Electric’s SmartHub portal or app. You can make a single payment or set up automatic payments from your checking or credit card accounts.

SmartHub lets you view your monthly bill and monitor your hourly electricity usage (hourly usage data is available the following day) in the same app. Of course, access to the SmartHub portal or app is free. You can sign up for SmartHub at www.wemc.com
