Operation RoundUp

Sometimes, it doesn’t take much to make a difference.

With Operation RoundUp, Wake Electric members pitch in just a little—by rounding up their monthly electric bill to the next dollar—and together, we’re able to do a lot of good across the communities we serve.

The extra change—no more than a maximum of 99 cents a month—goes to our WECare Foundation, which uses those funds to support things like classroom grants, student scholarships, emergency assistance, and other community projects.

How It Works

If you’re a participating member, your bill is automatically rounded up each month. The average member contributes less than $6 per year. The maximum amount a member would donate over the course of a year would  be $11.88. But when thousands of members chip in, that small change adds up fast. This program is completely voluntary—you can opt out or back in at any time.
