1:52 PM | All outages have been restored. Thank you so much for your patience.

10:41 AM | Majority of outages have been restored. Our crews will continue to work until all power is back on. Thank you so much for your support and patience with us responding to Tropical Storm Debby.

7:27 AM | As we continue our restoration efforts, we’re aware that a portion of Granville County, is still without power. Our crews are on-site, assessing the damage and working safely and efficiently to restore service. We’ll keep you updated as more information becomes available. Thank you for your continued patience.

August 8, 2024 Update

8:12 PM | With the majority of outages restored, we sincerely appreciate your patience. Around 220 members in Granville County remain without power due to a fallen tree on a line. Our crews will continue working into the evening, though progress will slow significantly after dark and resume at full capacity at sunrise. While the rain and heavy winds have subsided, flood risks remain, potentially leading to additional localized flooding and more power outages. Thank you for your understanding and continued support.

11:30 AM | Our crews have identified a fallen tree on the line as the cause of the outage in Johnson County. They are actively working in the area to restore power. We appreciate your patience as our lineworkers address this and other ongoing outages.

8:30 AM | Thanks to the swift response from our Wake Electric staff and line crews, we’ve reduced outages to approximately 470 members. With continued rain throughout the day and wind gusts in the area, the risk of falling trees remains. We are closely monitoring the weather and are prepared to respond to any further outages as they occur.

7:41 AM | Due to the severe weather brought by Tropical Storm Debby, over 700 members in Granville County are experiencing outages. Our crews have been dispatched and are working diligently and safely to restore power. We appreciate your patience during this time.
