The WeCare Foundation approved a total of $1,850 for the following Operation RoundUp 1st quarter 2015 grants:

– American Red Cross in Raleigh, $1,500, emergency funds for area families
– Prevent Blindness NC in Raleigh, $350, Star Pupils program for children in Franklin County

The WECare Foundation awards grants 4 times a year to nonprofit agencies in Wake Electric’s service territory, which includes, Durham, Franklin, Granville, Johnston, Nash, Vance, and Wake counties. The agency does not have to be a member of Wake Electric. Wake Electric is now accepting applications for its 2nd quarter awards.
