Plug-in electric vehicles, also known as EVs, are connected, fun and practical. They can also reduce emissions and even save you money.
This was the message Wake Electric wanted to ‘drive’ home this past fall when they held a series of Member Advisory Committee (MAC) meetings. Wake Electric recognizes the importance of educating members about this new technology and the variety of benefits offered by the co-op, including a special EV time-of-use rate.
During the meetings, staff educated members about the many benefits of driving electric and provided an opportunity for members to test drive a Tesla Model 3. The event also featured other EV models including BMW i3, Chevy Volt, Nissan Leaf and Tesla X. As the EV market continues to grow, Wake Electric will continue to lay the groundwork for an electric vehicle future and be responsive to membership needs.
