Attention non-profits – Wake Electric is now accepting applications for Operation RoundUp grants. The deadline is Friday, September 14, 5:00 p.m. As part of our efforts to improve the quality of life in the communities we serve, the electric co-op awards funds to non-profit organizations within Wake Electric’s service territory which includes Durham, Franklin, Granville, Johnston, Nash, Wake and Vance counties.
Within its service territory and beyond, Wake Electric is known for its tradition of community involvement and support. Through our grant and scholarship programs, Wake Electric invests in the communities where its members and employees live and work.

Brassfield Vol Fire Department | Assist in purchasing HeartStart AED | $1,000 |
Called to Peace Ministries | Funding of emergency needs, counseling & transportation | $1,700 |
Concord Community Center, Inc. | Purchase of kitchen appliances | $1,000 |
Franklin County Coop Ext | Purchase of food from farmers for Food Week | $750 |
Meals on Wheels Wake Co | Senior meals funding | $1,000 |
Prevent Blindness NC | Vision screening | $1,000 |
Vance County 4-H | Livestock show | $1,500 |
