Intense storms moving through the area downed trees throughout Wake Electric’s territory, which took out multiple power lines. Crews are working quickly and safely to restore power the remaining members who are without power (note the outage map frequently refreshes with the latest numbers). Members can check outages and restoration progress on the Wake Electric outage map at www.wemc.com.   The number of outages reached 4,000 during the storm.
