During its annual State of the Chamber luncheon, the Wake Forest Area Chamber of Commerce awarded Wake Electric “Corporate Citizen of the Year.” Every year, a company demonstrating long-standing commitment to the Wake Forest area receives this award. In 2016, now that the Chamber is no longer involved in economic development for the town of Wake Forest, the luncheon awards program keenly focused on members who help serve the town’s needs and are actively involved in its growth and success.
