RoundUp grant awards
One of the seven co-operative principles is “Concern for Community.” As part of Wake Electric’s on-going commitment to the communities it serves, Wake Electric awards quarterly grants to nonprofit organizations located in the counties it serves. Nonprofit agencies in Durham, Franklin, Granville, Johnston, Nash, Vance and Wake counties are eligible to apply.
The 1st quarter 2016 Operation RoundUp grant winners are:
- Building 323, Middlesex, for Food Pantry Assistance – $2,500
- Granville County Search & Recovery, Oxford, for purchase of AED Unit – $1,271
Grants are accepted on a rolling quartlery basis. For more information on the next deadline to apply for a grant or on the grant program itself, check it out at wemc.com.
