Severe storms hit Wake Electric’s service area around 6 p.m. Thursday evening. The majority of the 800 outages were in Franklin and Wake counties. Strong winds blew down large trees and power lines—even blew a small building into a power pole and broke the pole. This left nearly 200 consumers without power for nearly 12 hours. Crews worked during the storm and through the night. We appreciate the opportunity to serve you and appreciate your patience and understanding. As always, for up-to-the-minute outage information, check our outage map at https://ebill.wemc.com/woViewer/mapviewer.html?config=Outage+Web+Map.
