Wake Electric— Wake Electric is currently experiencing 2,980 power outages, which were caued by powerful thunderstorms that ripped through our service territory earlier this evening.
This is down from a peak of 5,300 outages reported at 7 p.m.
If people see a downed power line, they should report its location to their local electric cooperative, Wake Electric, or call 911. Under no circumstances should people approach or drive over downed power lines.
