America’s electric cooperatives have designated the second Monday of April as National Lineman’s Appreciation Day.

On Monday, Wake Electric honors the men and women not just at our co-op but at co-ops across the nation who often work in challenging conditions to keep the lights on. The cooperative recognizes all electric linemen for the services they perform around the clock in dangerous conditions to keep power flowing and protect the public’s safety.

To honor these men, hosted a breakfast for its linemen to show appreciation and support for the  work they do each day. Wake Electric invites cooperative members to take a moment to thank a lineman for the work they do.
