Now Accepting Applications for 4th Quarter WECare Community Grants
Wake Electric is excited to announce that applications are now open for the 4th Quarter WECare Community Grants. Non-profit organizations within our service territory—including Durham, Franklin, Granville, Johnston, Nash, Wake, and Vance counties—are encouraged to apply by the deadline: Friday, September 13.
The WECare Community Grant program is a vital initiative by Wake Electric, aimed at supporting local organizations and enhancing community well-being. These community grants are funded through the generous contributions of our members, who can choose to round up their monthly electric bill to the nearest dollar or make direct donations. Members interested in supporting the grant program can sign up via SmartHub, call 1-800-474-6300, or email information@wemc.com.
One of our previous winners Rolesville Rural Fire Department (RRFD) was surprised with a WECare Community Grant of $3,926.33 in the 2nd Quarter. This grant enabled RRFD to fully equip their Pierce Rescue Truck with essential rescue tools, significantly enhancing their emergency response capabilities.
Wake Electric encourages all eligible non-profit organizations to apply for the WECare Community Grants and take advantage of this opportunity to make a meaningful impact in their communities. For more information, application forms, and eligibility details, click here.
