Winter Storm Uri Restoration

All outages have been restored. Thank you for your patience!

(2/14) 10:00 a.m. – Wake Electric employees and line crews have been working around the clock to restore power to the remaining outages, which include repairing 9 broken poles. Wake Electric has also recruited help from other electric co-ops to speed up this process. As this weather system continues to develop throughout the day, we may continue to have scattered outages. (2/13) 8:30 p.m. – Currently we have 104 members without power. Outages could fluctuate as trees and limbs thaw and then refreeze as the sun goes down and temperatures drop before thawing again in the morning. This up and down of thawing and freezing can cause limbs to contact lines, come loose and then contact lines again. Our crews will continue to work to restore power as quickly and safely as possible.

5:00 p.m. – Currently we have 219 members without power. The outages are due to ice breaking off tree branches and uprooting trees which fall into the power lines.
