Hurricane season is upon is – it begins June 1 and ends November 30 this year. Wake Electric reminds our members to always be prepared – preparation is the best protection against the dangers of a hurricane. Know the difference between the threat levels and plan accordingly. The American Red Cross offers a great website for all of the ins and outs of these powerful storms and how you can keep your family as safe as possible. And remember, when there are storms in the area, always be sure to check in on our website’s homepage – www.wemc.com – to link to a real time outage map to get an idea of where outages are around you and how quickly they are being taken care of.
